Invited Attendee Information
(From Letter of Invitation)
If you intend to present a poster at the conference, a
brief abstract will be required for inclusion in the abstract booklet
that will be distributed at the meeting. Abstract lengths are limited to
two pages in a pdf format using the 9”x 6” style of World Scientific
http://www.worldscientific.com/style/proceedings_style.shtml . Abstracts
should be sent to Dietrich Leibfried
dil@boulder.nist.gov before May
1, and sooner is better.
Following the now 30+ year tradition, the ICOLS-07 proceedings will be
published as a hardbound book that contains summaries of all of the
invited talks. This year, along with the books we will also compile a
DVD that contains images (pdf) of the ICOLS-07 posters that participants
wish to contribute. The poster images will be collected at the
conference. ICOLS poster sessions are an essential part of the
conference and the DVD of poster images will provide a much more
complete record of the meeting than would the book alone.
Most importantly, If you will be coming from outside the U.S. please use
this your letter of invitation to apply for any visas that may be
required for entry to the U.S. Please note that there will be
opportunities to visit research laboratories in Boulder before and/or
after the conference so your visa should take into account any
additional days. Given the heightened levels of security in the U.S. we
strongly encourage you to apply for visas as soon as possible to avoid
potential problems caused by processing delays. If you prefer a hard
copy of this your letter of invitation, please send your request to the
ICOLS secretary Lisa Barnes (lbarnes@boulder.nist.gov) and she will send
that to you by mail.
Please do not hesitate to contact any of us if you have questions,
foresee any problems or need additional information. Thank you again for
your participation and important contributions to ICOLS-07. We are
looking forward to seeing you in Telluride.
