Invited Speaker Information
(From Letter of Invitation)
Lodging for invited speakers will be primarily at
the Mountain Lodge at Telluride, and a room has already been blocked out
for you (June 24 arrival - June 29 departure). Descriptions of the
Mountain Lodge facilities can be found on their web site,
www.mountainlodgetelluride.com.
The Telluride Conference Center (TCC)
is about 10 minutes walking distance from the Mountain Lodge and a
shuttle bus service will be available for those that request it.
If you will be coming from outside the U.S. please use
your letter of invitation to apply for any visas that may be required
for entry to the U.S. Please note that there will be opportunities to
visit research laboratories in Boulder before and/or after the
conference so your visa should take into account any additional days.
Given the heightened level of security in the U.S. we strongly
encourage you to apply for visas as soon as possible to avoid potential
problems caused by processing delays.
If you have not done so already, please send us a title for your invited
talk. A brief
abstract will also be needed for inclusion in the booklet of abstracts
that will be distributed at the meeting. Abstract lengths can be from 1
paragraph to two pages, and the preferred format is a pdf in the 9”x 6”
style
http://www.worldscientific.com/style/proceedings_style.shtml of
World Scientific, which will also be the style for the summary papers.
Abstracts should be sent to Dietrich Leibfried
dil@boulder.nist.gov
before May 1.
Following the now 30+ year tradition, the ICOLS-07 proceedings will be
published as a hardbound book that contains summaries of all of the
invited talks. Your summary paper (average length 12 pages) will be due
by 1 August 2007. This year, along with the books we will also
compile a DVD that contains images (pdf) of the ICOLS-07 posters that
participants may wish to contribute at the conference. The poster
sessions are an essential part of every ICOLS conference and the DVD
will provide a much more complete record of the ICOLS-07 than would the
book alone.
If you prefer a hard copy of your letter of invitation by mail, please send a request
to the ICOLS secretary Lisa Barnes (lbarnes@boulder.nist.gov). Also,
please contact any of us if you have questions, foresee any problems
with the arrangements, or need additional information. Thank you again
for your participation and important contributions to ICOLS-07. We are
looking forward to seeing you in Telluride.
